Global Wakaf Al Quran is a portal for the One Million Al-Quran waqf campaign, as a collaborative initiative by Yayasan Restu and ToyyibPay to distribute one million printed mushafs of the Al-Quran to individuals and communities worldwide.
The campaign focuses on regions where access to the Al-Quran is limited due to cost, distribution challenges or lack of local printing facilities. By combining Yayasan Restu’s expertise in Al-Quran printing with ToyyibPay’s digital payment platform, we are making it simple, transparent and secure for anyone to participate in this noble effort.
What isWaqf
Waqf is a form of worship and an act of drawing closer to Allah (taqarrub ilallah) by dedicating assets whose benefits continue over time. It is one of the earliest charitable practices in Islamic civilisation and is recognised in Islamic law.
Throughout Islamic history; especially during the early and middle periods, waqf became a noble tradition among rulers, scholars and wealthy Muslims. Waqf was widely used to support mosques, schools, hospitals, water systems and community services.
The volume of waqf assets grew so large that special ministries in muslim majority countries were established to manage and safeguard these endowments.
